Looking for Peace? 4 Ways We Found it in The Samsung Meditation Circle!
Busy or not, Meditation has calming power. It’s understanding the stillness and having a secret weapon in your back pocket. It’s takes practice though. We are learning that with mental health, things get a little complicated and even confusing, so tools like Mediation is something quick you can incorporate that doesn’t take much time to incorporate. Meditation is the practice of mindfulness and focus where you train your attention and awareness to achieve mental clarity, with calm and stable emotions. It’s taking a moment to get still, to honor your current thoughts and reel them back in! At the 2019 Affirmation Summit, we saw it in real time — people taking a moment to meditate. Women with businesses, counselors, moms and sister friends.

Partnering with Samsung was the icing on the “self-care” cake. We learned that Samsung phones come with the Health App. And with the Samsung Health App, “you can track key wellness metrics to help you manage your personal health. You can even video chat with a board-certified physician if you have a medical question or need a prescription.” — who knew. At the 2019 Affirmation Summit we did three minute meditations in a circle. It was the perfect wine down for women with a lot on their plates. Great thing about meditating is that you have to be good at it, just open to it. Here’s 4 ways Mediation works:
(1) Meditation is good for the person on the move.
You get choose how long you meditate. There’s no right or wrong length, just the one that’s centering and special for you. You can meditate in the car, standing or sitting. There’s so much flexibility with this coping strategy.
(2) Meditation helps with anxiety.
Having anxiety is no fun, but with a few tools in your tools box, you can breathe through it instead of letting it take over. Anxiety is a projection or fear and so many combinations of thoughts and feelings that we create. We have good news, you CAN work through it and meditation can help.
(3) Mediation helps with emotionalism.
Emotionalism can rob you of moments to response maturely and with a clear head. Meditation allows you to take a moment to decide how you really feel. It helps you understand what’s really going on.
(4) MEDIATION HELPS YOU CALM DOWN.
Meditation can not only put you to sleep, but it can bring a natural calmness. We loved using the Level Samsung headphones to tune out the noise. The noise in our minds, hearts and around us. Noise cancelling is a beautiful thing and you deserve a moment of peace.

5 Ways We Cooled Down + Got Empowered with Topo Chico at The 2019 Affirmation Summit
Mental wellness doesnt have to be scary, rigid or always hard. Its willingness, little whispers, intuitive gut feelings, making tiny commitments and adjusting along the way.
It’s having the tools to cope, deal and grow. It’s refining and affirming that you can create the life that you want surrounded by people who want the same healthy + good life too.
On September 21st, HoneyBeNatural presented the 2nd annual The Affirmation Summit at Lofty Spaces in Dallas, TX. This mental wellness conference is open to men, women and young adults and introduces mental wellness in a creative, interactive and empowering way.
This year, we had the opportunity to partner with TopoChico Mineral Water brand. Founded in 1895 and bottled in Monterrey, Mexico, TopoChico is dubbed as refreshing, versatile and the perfect mixer. Topo Chico has a natural composition and assists in the digestive process. Topo Chico is a zero-calorie and carbonated beverage and offers a variation of flavors and package styles for all of your #mineralwater needs!
In celebration of our 2019 experience, we wanted to share 5 Ways we cooled down and got empowered at our 2019 The Affirmation Summit:

In celebration of our 2019 experience, we wanted to share 5 Ways we cooled down and got empowered at our 2019 The Affirmation Summit:
(1) Get Still: We saw many women take a moment to get still and have healthy conversations with women sitting near them. We saw smiles and happy faces in the empowerment lounge and were pleased that a cool drink was in the mix.
(2) Trying something new: Lets get real, the (@TopoChicoUSA) Twist + Lime was an attendee favorite! We saw people taking a leap in the world of flavored mineral water and loving it!
(3) Can we say #empowered? During the “Intuition vs. Insecurity” workshop facilitated by (@mindfullyrestored_counseling) we heard so many “AH-HA MOMENTS” and salutatory “Mmmmms” as LaKeisha dropped gems. She reminded us that intuition and insecurity can easily get confused, but affirmed ways we can know the difference. Can we give her two snaps for getting us together! 👏🏽👏🏽
(4) Mix It Up: We thought it would be fancy to make TopoChico-Cranberry Spritzers by adding a little cranberry juice and lemon 🍋 to our cups. I think guests can attest, it was a nice combination.
(5) Get InTuit: Learning the importance of eating for your body was a highlight for many at #theaffirmationsummit. It was empowering for it to be confirmed by Chanise Condren (@chachachanise) owner of (@EatElectric) that we have options and that our bodies Ques us to know what we need and what we don’t need. She graciously created a dish that was good for the soul, vegan (Curried Jackfruit, Leafy Greens, Banana Chips, Mango Salsa on a bed of Rice & Beans) Chile! ....washing that food down with #TopoChico goodness..... What more could we have asked for!
